Marcos Peña Named President of the Board of Directors for the British Chamber of Commerce of the Dominican Republic

In its annual general meeting held on Wednesday, April 28, 2010, the British Chamber of Commerce of the Dominican Republic, Inc. selected its new Board of Directors for the 2010-2012 term.

JCP's own, Marcos Peña-Rodríguez, was chosen to serve as the new president of the Board after spending the last term as the Board's vice president. Marcos joins a group of executives and other business representatives from firms that are commercially related to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland as the new Board.

The British Chamber of Commerce of the Dominican Republic is an independent, non-profit organization with the aim of promoting, facilitating, and implementing commercial, industrial, financial, technological, scientific, and cultural exchange between the Dominican Republic and the United Kingdom. The Chamber has over one hundred and fifty members, many of whom are national suppliers of goods and services as well as British representatives and importers of British products. The Chamber works closely with the British Embassy and representatives organizations of British public authorities and the private sector.
